In a powerful diplomatic move, an all-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha reaffirmed India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism during its official visit to Japan.

At a dinner hosted by Indian Ambassador to Japan Sibi George at India House, the delegation engaged with key Japanese dignitaries from political, governmental, and academic spheres. The message conveyed was clear and unified: India will not tolerate terrorism, especially state-sponsored acts emanating from across its borders.

The Indian Embassy in Tokyo posted on X: “All-Party Delegation of Hon’ble Members of Parliament led by Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha interacted with dignitaries from Japan’s political, governmental, and academic spheres and conveyed a strong and unified national message of zero tolerance for cross-border terrorism.”

Speaking earlier in the day, Sanjay Jha underscored the rare show of national unity across political lines.

“We may have political differences and contest elections against each other, but when it comes to the country, we are all together,” he said.

Highlighting Pakistan’s decades-long proxy war against India, Jha emphasized that the recent Pahalgam terror attack was not an isolated incident but part of a sustained campaign of violence.

“This is not a simple incident. Pakistan has been fighting a proxy war for the last 40 years… They targeted tourists after asking about their religion,” he added.

The Indian delegation, which includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradhan Baruah, Hemang Joshi; AITC MP Abhishek Banerjee; CPI(M) MP John Brittas; former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid; and Ambassador Mohan Kumar, aims to take India’s anti-terror message to key partner nations in East Asia.

The outreach is part of India’s broader Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The delegation is scheduled to continue its international engagement in countries including South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore.
